Our home, and the town that shaped it
Every club needs a home, and ours sits in a place with a story worth telling.
The Daly Ground on Budds Lane is our base for the 2026/27 season, right in the heart of Whitehill & Bordon. To understand what that means, you have to understand the town. Bordon began as an Army camp in 1863, and for more than a century this was a garrison town through and through. After over 100 years of military service, the Army left in December 2015, and what happened next is one of the more remarkable stories in Hampshire.
Following the departure of the Army, a plan was put in place to transform Whitehill & Bordon from a garrison into a green, healthy and connected town. The move freed up over 100 hectares, a once-in-a-generation opportunity to reshape the place entirely. Today that regeneration is well underway, with new homes, new facilities, and one of its proudest features, the award-winning Green Loop of cycleways and footpaths, encouraging exactly the kind of active, outdoor living a football club is built on.
That heritage matters to us. Bordon's military past was about discipline, fitness, teamwork, and pride in the badge you wore, the same values any good football club is built on. We like the idea that a town that spent 150 years training and preparing is now a town rebuilding itself around health, community and connection. A veterans football club fits that story rather well: players who've put the years in, still fit, still competitive, still turning out for the shirt.
Budds Lane itself has been part of the town's transformation, upgraded as part of that green vision for walking and cycling. Playing our football here, on the doorstep of a community reinventing itself while honouring where it came from, feels right.
