here come the vets.

Matchday weekend for the Veteran Stags 🦌 After a cup bye in last weeks fixture. The Herd had an action-stacked training session mid-week and everyone looked very sharp. This week we are away to @farnboroughfc Veterans in The Hampshire County Cup. We welcome back some familiar faces who have been away on international duty, including “The Farmers Dog” Ionut Ratoi. A stacked bench, a powerful starting eleven and a new kit to showcase for the Veterans. Club Capitain @ot10ten will be keen to impact the game as he unlocks Benjamin Button Chromosomes in his 200th league appearance in all seasons. Probably. Big Stag Energy! Stags Co-manager @chris_c_bee will be looking to continue the foundational work of his co-manager @its_blp from the demolition of league one Mondial in the last outing. “With a weeks rest back in the tank, and new faces on show, I’m expecting energy and high demand from the lads” - Chris Brown Come and join us at The Pavillion for an exciting match and hopefully another home win for Whitehill and Bordon’s Veterans Team 🦌 Thank you to our sponsors @pistondesign @dejamo.uk #UTS #VeteransFootball #TheStags

7 on the road ⚽️ One of our most complete away days yet. Attitude, discipline and ruthless football from the first whistle. Down a Co-Manager with @chris_c_bee away, @its_blp L led the side alongside stand-in assistant Mark Alexander @alexanmark. A 4am withdrawal from Club Captain Oram-Tooley handed the armband to vice-captain Parker, and an hour-plus on the road due to pitch availability changed nothing. Grant Stapleton had us ahead inside twelve and we never looked back. Jamie Edmondson with two, Kareem Davis on the half hour, Marius Melinte after the break, and a special one off the bench from the resident Tiger, James Small. Grant Stapleton sealed his brace late. Mondial goals came from a 35-yard screamer (handball missed in the build-up) and two set pieces. We had every answer. Joe Brock commanding in goal, the back four rock solid, and the wingers relentless all afternoon. [Full Match Report Now Online] PoTm: David Nicoll, running the show from midfield. Now we box it up and take it to the next game. No game next Sunday, then The Veteran Stags host the Peter Hodbell Cup game at home to Worplesdon Vets on the 27th. Goals: Stapleton x2, Edmondson x2, Davis, Melinte, Small
Assists: Melinte x2, Stapleton, Parker, Wilson #UTS 🦌
